             Linda Sarsour is a civil rights activists who fights to deteriorate the stereotypes and racial bias against Muslim women. The day of the women's march in New York City Sarsour and other activists were arrested for disorderly conduct after protesting towards Trump's International Hotel. Sarsour is a recognizable and admirable women who is a mother of three children, member of the Justice League in New York City, and an artist who is working towards police reform in New York. She has won several awards and honors on behalf of her dedication including the “Champion of Change” awarded by the white house. 

    
Emeline PankhurstPussy Riot never had the conception of their movement resulting to doing time in jail but they are definitely not the first feminist activists to be put behind bars for their beliefs. Emeline Pankhurst founded the founded the Women’s Social and Political Union in the United Kingdom in 1903, which were referred to as suffragist. Punkhurst threw rocks at a prime minister's window, accused of setting off an incendiary device, and starved herself in prison in order to strike back at the authorities.
